Four questions worth asking before you sign with anyone.
Including us. Most FBA recovery services do the same core job and charge roughly the same for it; the differences that matter are narrow and specific, and none of them are on the front page of anybody’s website.
1. What is the rate, and on what?
The category standard is around 25% of recovered funds. We charge 10%. That is the single largest difference between us and the established players, and it is the easiest to verify — every provider publishes a rate.
The follow-up question is what the percentage applies to. Ask specifically: do you bill on reimbursements Amazon would have issued automatically, without your involvement? Amazon auto-reimburses a good deal on its own. A service that counts those as recoveries is billing you for its own existence. Ours does not, in writing.
2. Do they do fee overcharges, or only lost inventory?
These are different products that get sold as one. Lost-and-damaged inventory claims are what the category was built on. Fee overcharges — where Amazon has your product’s dimensions wrong and bills the wrong size tier on every unit — require measuring products against a rate card, not reconciling a ledger.
This matters more than it used to, because of question 3.
3. Have they adapted to the two policy changes?
Two things happened that reshaped this business, and a service that has not adjusted to them is selling a version of the job that no longer exists:
- October 2024: the claim window went from eighteen months to sixty days. A once-a-year audit now misses most of the money by construction.
- March 2025: lost and damaged inventory reimburses at manufacturing cost rather than sale price — which cut the value of the category everyone leads with. It did not touch fee overcharges.
How to spot a service that has not adapted: it still advertises an “18-month lookback” or a “historical audit going back 18 months.” In 2026 that is not a feature. It is a description of money that no longer exists. Both changes, with Amazon’s own sources.
4. Can you see what they actually do?
Ask for the list of checks they run. Ask what their denial rate is. Ask what happens to your data when you leave, and whether there is a button for it or an email address.
We publish all 56 checks by name, our own results including what did not pay, what we refuse to file and why, and the findings report itself, in full. Not because it is generous — because a service that cannot show you its method is asking you to take the interesting part on faith.
That last one is the cheapest test you can run on anybody. Every service in this category offers a free audit and describes the report it produces. Ask to see one before you grant account access. Ours is on the website.
Where the bigger providers genuinely beat us
This would be a worse page if it pretended otherwise.
- Scale and track record. GETIDA, Helium 10 and Carbon6 have recovered enormously more money than we have, over many more years, for many more sellers. If a long public history is what you need to feel safe, that is a real thing we do not have.
- Breadth. Several are part of larger suites — keyword tools, PPC, listing management. If you want one vendor for everything, we are the wrong shape.
- Support depth. Large teams answer at 2am. We are small.
They are reasonable choices and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we would say is that the rate difference compounds: on $50,000 recovered, 25% versus 10% is $7,500 that stays in your account.
And who we are wrong for
- Below roughly $250K in annual FBA revenue. A DIY tool at $15–80 a month will usually serve you better than any commission service, ours included.
- If you need a single vendor for ads, listings and recovery. We only do this.
- If you want it done without giving anyone access. Nobody can file a reimbursement case through the API — here is why — so any service that claims otherwise is either not filing, or not being straight with you.
On the rates quoted above. They come from each provider’s own public pricing page, read in August 2026, and they change. Search any of these names and check before you decide — we would rather you did than took our word for it. If we have something out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
The cheapest way to compare is to run both.
Our audit is free and produces a findings report with real dollar figures. Take it to whoever you are already using and ask them why they did not find it.
